This hardcover catalogue features Baseman's "drippy, gooey" work from I Melt in Your Presence (Modernism, San Francisco, 2007), a series of Baseman’s otherworldly landscapes of ChouChous and the WildGirls. 

Deceptively cute, Baseman blends influences of Henry Darger and Hieronymous Bosch to show scenes of good versus evil, and conflicts of desire and control. This series is part of Hide and Seek in the Forest of ChouChou, in which ChouChous take away negative energy and hate.
